LA Zoo Lights

Throughout the zoo, GES Events created sparkling walkways and bathed the space in vibrant holiday colors.

GES Events designed LA Zoo Lights to feature the latest in lighting technology to paint the night with original, vibrant, and unexpected holiday design. Traditional lighting techniques were combined with up lighting and tree wrapping in the zoo’s extensive botanical gardens. Brilliant projection mapping on whimsical animal sculptures and gorgeously lit exhibits showcased the spirit and message of the zoo in unexpected ways.

Along with designing new attractions for the show, GES Events reimagined displays using existing assets from previous years. These updates brought a new and unexpected experience to both first time visitors and longtime fans of LA Zoo Lights.

Back for another year was the Twinkle Tunnel, but reimagined in a whole new way. This magical path quickly became a fan favorite this year and a must see photo opportunity. Thousands of lights, mirror garlands, and chasing strobes took visitors through a bright and festive visual journey. They couldn’t get enough of the Instagram-able feature!

With the program entering its fourth year, GES Events strove to make the experience brighter than ever, ending the show with the high-energy Wild Wonderlands Finale.

This attraction combined the programmable LED lighting technology used throughout the experience with new custom fabricated stained glass animals, fun lighting fixtures, and upbeat holiday music. Lit trees surrounded the area as falling snow added a touch of magic to this colorful bright wonderland.

The Los Angeles Zoo, with GES Event’s help, delivered on giving visitors the modern, exciting take on the traditional holiday light show. The remarkable display was one of the hottest holiday tickets in L.A. with many soldout nights. Families, couples, and friends alike have flocked to the zoo to marvel at the lights, take and post selfies, and experience the wonder of the 2017 LA Zoo Lights Program.
