When people think of GES, they often think of the biggest shows in the industry, but shows held in hotels make up nearly 60 percent of GES’ annual business. This volume allows GES to develop strong and lasting relationships with our facilities that translate into tangible service benefits for both exhibitors and show management. This commitment to hotel shows is the reason that GES is the preferred service contractor for many major convention hotels.
“Hotel shows are a very important part of the GES portfolio of shows,” said Jeff Quade, GES’ executive vice president of sales and marketing. “GES has local production facilities and special sales and production teams who focus on exhibitions which are held in hotels.”
The Orlando World Center Marriott is just one of many facilities that selected GES as its preferred contractor. “GES demonstrated great partnership and earned the business,” said Tim Swan, director of sales and marketing at Orlando World Center Marriott. “GES is an extension of the Marriott sales team. The GES teams are experts in the industry and a great resource. They help us do our job better, resulting in successful shows for our mutual clients.”
As the preferred vendor, GES becomes a partner with the hotel staff to deliver a coordinated level of service. In many cases, GES’ team has offices located at the hotel and becomes an extension of the hotel team.
GES understands the importance of taking care of hotel facilities. Unlike convention center halls, most hotel ballrooms have luxurious carpeting, chandeliers and wall coverings. With that in mind, GES’ TLC program takes great care to protect the look of the hotel facility. The GES team walks the facility prior to the show and uses hotel specific equipment to protect all areas of the facility. GES also designs entrance units for individual facilities.
When planning your next hotel show, count on the experts at GES for a smooth and successful show.
