Each year GES Exposition Services receives
hundreds of requests from very worthwhile organizations
throughout the United States and Canada. While GES
would like to be able to grant each request, it is
not financially feasible to do so. As a result, a
policy has been established.
GES provides financial and in kind support as well
as many hours of volunteer leadership to numerous
industry associations, university groups and various
non-profit organizations across North America.
Building on this commitment, GES has selected the
American Red Cross and Canadian Red Cross to better
support North American communities where our employees
live and work, as well as the international humanitarian
efforts that reach beyond our borders.
It is GES’ intent to provide meaningful support
to the Red Cross and select organizations with which
we have an established commitment. In general, GES
is limiting its charitable contributions to organizations
we currently support. If you would like to submit
a request, please review the guidelines and mail
your request to the contact information below.
Specific Guidelines
In determining
eligibility for funding all of the following criteria
are considered:
- Must be a nonprofit 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization
or registered charity in Canada
- Demonstrates direct employee involvement or
interest
- Meets important community needs
- Demonstrates sound management and financial
capability
General Limitations
The following
criteria make organizations ineligible for GES donations:
- Partisan political organizations
- Sectarian organizations whose services are limited
to one religious group
- Organizations which do not directly benefit
the community
- Individuals
- Foundations that are themselves grant-making
bodies
- Trips or tours
- Advertising for benefit purposes
- Telephone solicitation of any nature
